If your body was a car, would it make it through rego?
Even if you'd get your rego, is it running smoothly? Handling well? Do you need a tune up? Do you need replacement parts?
Give your body the attention it deserves to get it in good condition, and keep it there - looking good, and more importantly - feeling good!
Choice
Leaving aside certain genetic health issues - the state of our health reflects the consequences of the choices we've made in relation to our health up to this point in our lives.
Here's some ideas to inspire you to take positive action towards your greater health and happiness. (NOTE: please be sensible and seek professional health advice specific to your individual needs in relation to food, drink and exercise)
visit appropriate heath care professionals
- consider alternative therapies, for example:
naturopathy, acupuncture, chinese medicine
- consider health professionals often overlooked, for example:
podiatrists
nurture your body
- get a massage
- facials, manicures, pedicures
- take a bath
- go to bed early
make healthy food and drink choices
- before you put something in your mouth ask yourself the healthy choice questions:
"will this make me more healthy or less healthy?"
"what can I eat that will nourish my body?"
"do I want this for my body or my tastebuds?"
- choose fresh, unprocessed food as much as possible
- go for maximum nutrients per calorie/kilojoule
- treat yourself to organic
- say "no" to seconds
- when people ask: "would you like a drink" respond "yes, thank you, I'd love a glass of water!"
For men and women in business: Eat out, eat well and don't put on weight
